What is the best way to keep my flowers lasting the longest?
At The Bristol Botanist, we believe that fresh clean water and regularly trimming the stems will help to elongate the life of your cut flowers. Additionally, arrangements should not be placed where it will endure a lot of sun or heat, i.e. we recommend not keeping your arrangement on a window sill or on your stove.
If your arrangement is in a traditional vase, clean your vase, refill with fresh cool water, and trim the stems with a clean pair of snips.
If your arrangement is in floral foam, ensuring the vessel as plenty of fresh water is best.
If your arrangement was created using chicken wire or a tape grid, flush out the water in the vessel by letting the water run over in your sink.
Where do you get your flowers from?
We buy our flowers from several sources. We love our local growers at Ramble Woods Farm in New Hampton and Oxbow Road Farm in New Hampton. We also source many of our florals from around the country and South America.
